Over the last 10 days, I’ve noticed a major difference in not only my changing skin, but also in my attitude towards skincare in general. Since starting my journey as an ambassador for French skincare brand, La Roche-Posay, I’ve become excited about my morning and nighttime routines. I feel reassured that my skin is taken care of with only the best products, and moreover, the right skincare for my specific skin concerns. Having gone from one product to the next, I always dreaded that my skin would eventually react negatively and breakout – this ultimately left me reluctant to try new products or brands. Indeed, there were sometimes products that I enjoyed, and worked great, but without a full skincare regimen, one product’s worth would be overshadowed by the damage caused by another.
Being 24 and only now struggling with breakouts, in addition to having sensitive skin, it’s an incredible relief to find a brand like La Roche-Posay. Their range of skincare – catered to specific skin concerns – includes significant research in to the study of skin, with carefully chosen ingredients to restore skin to a healthy condition. Personally, I’ve already noticed some results, particularly when I’ve maintained a morning and night ritual, which includes cleansing, misting, and moisturizing.
Before any products were sent to me, I was asked about my skin concerns, after which a dermatologist reccomended which products would best address these concerns. Part of my press drop included: the CLEANSING MICELLAR FOAMING WATER for sensitive skin, the TOLERIANE RICH Soothing Protective Cream, and the THERMAL SPRING WATER mist.
As far as first impressions go, this trio of products felt remarkably gentle, with no stinging or itchy patches. I applied one pump of the foaming miscellar cleansing water and it was even able to remove all my makeup (I wasn’t wearing mascara, but my liquid liner came off easily). After gently patting dry my skin, I followed up with a light misting of the La Roche-Posay thermal spray. The spray itself is highly refreshing and nourishing. It takes a minute or two for the mist to settle in to the skin, and when the skin has dried, I apply an almond size amount of the restorative cream to my face and neck.
PRO TIP: apply a light layer of cream first, then go in with a second layer only on areas in need of extra moisture.
Over the next 6 months, I’ll be updating you with my skin’s progress, how my skin reacts to the brand, as well as Youtube reviews of new products sent via press drops. I’ll also be giving away my favorite La Roche-Posay products to one lucky reader, but that’s still to come.
