In today’s little write-up I want to share with you three of my favorite fragrances that I always reach for in the summer time. Each fragrance has a unique blend of aromas, which means I can switch-up my scent whenever depending on my mood and the occasion.
My first favorite and long-time love is by Michael Kors – and I get complimented whenever I wear it. The scent is almost intoxicating if overdone, so for daytime I use it rather sparingly and will apply more if I’m heading out at night. This rich and sexy and smell has base notes of musk, cashmere wood and vetiver, while it’s top notes are freesia, incense, Chinese osmanthus and tamarind. The blended notes in this fragrance are my absolute favorite in summer and reminds me of white linen, a warm breeze and salty beach air, and citrus cocktails overlooking the ocean.
My second favorite scent is by Stella McCartney and, despite the pink packaging, has a subtle masculine undertone thanks to its amber base notes. Besides notes of amber and rose, this Eu de Toilette fragrance also contains additional accords of frozen lemon, mandarin, freesia, peony and violet leaf. Opening with fresh mandarin and frozen lemon, its then balanced with watery tones of freesia to create a soft, dewy feeling.
What really grabs me with this fragrance is the design and attention to detail in the packaging. I love displaying my fragrances in a spot that’s easy to grab before heading out and when I received Stella I knew it would look perfect alongside my mini fragrance collection. I would definitely say that this is my everyday go-to fragrance between Spring and Summer.
This last favorite by Narciso Rodriguez is a blend of white floral, musk and wood and became a new favorite earlier this year after my mom had mentioned it to me. I am a big fan of wood-scented fragrances and immediately took to the subtlety of wood and blend in Narciso Poudree, not to mention the perfectly minimalist packaging.
