Josh Gad is playing a character in a new trailer for “The LEGO Batman Movie,” which opens Friday, March 16.
Gad will play a character called The Muppet in the upcoming film, which is directed by David Ayer.
Gad is also reprising his role as The Joker in “Suicide Squad.”
The Muppet character is based on a character named Teddy, who starred in “The Muppet Show” and “The Bob Newhart Show” as well as The Mott The Hoople.
“The Lego Batman Movie” will be released in theaters nationwide on March 16, 2018.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” will reunite director Peter Jackson with director Peter Guber in a film based on the popular “The Silmarillion” trilogy that is set in Middle Earth.
The “Dark Tower” film trilogy will be set in a fantasy world, with the latest installment, “The Gunslinger,” opening March 10.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will see a new character play a prominent role in the film.
The film is based upon the novel “The Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin.
The first installment in the trilogy, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” will open March 16 and the second installment, which will debut March 25, will have a December release date.
