How to make money online without having to spend money?
That’s what the online shopping giant wants to tell you.
The search giant has introduced a feature to its Amazon Fashion Search which allows customers to buy items at a fraction of the cost of online shopping.
This new feature is available for the first time on its site, which was launched on Monday.
“If you have no idea where to buy, this is the place to start,” Amazon’s online fashion buyer, J.K. Poonan, told The Hindu.
The company is trying to tackle the high cost of goods online.
For example, buying clothes online costs about $1.40, while a bag of clothing will cost you about $4, according to the company.
“You can’t buy anything online for less than the price you pay for it,” J. K. Poonsan said.
“We know that the average Indian spends Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 on online shopping,” he said.
The online fashion seller added that if the price is right, a user can get goods at a much lower price.
“For example, if you go to Amazon and buy a $100 bag of clothes, you can get the same for Rs. 150, if it is Rs. 40,” he added.
The company also added that it’s working on a payment option for online shopping, though it has yet to release any details.
The new feature allows customers with low-to-medium income to buy from online retailers, like Amazon.
