LOADING… AESOP. SKINCARE

On a quest to find a concession that would serve coffee strong enough to trail through a busy afternoon / evening, the boyfriend and I found ourselves at Loading Bay; a marvelous curated hub of cafe, skincare shop and menswear store. Before being compelled by their stunning pastries and drinks, we made our way upstairs to the Aesop. corner of the hub, (read: I was beyond eager to finally see what all the hype was about). After 5 minutes had passed,  pleasant naturally scented aromas were heavily wafting in the air – it was heavenly. I found it surprising the extent to which natural scents could calm and unwind the mind, especially after being treated to a quick but soothing hand scrub massage.

Eventually, it was time to get going, as the hustle of the city made its call by way commuters hooting, hordes of chatter from passers-by as evening plans commenced and the slow dissipating of people from the cafe just downstairs. Before we left, however, we were also given a sample or two each of the products we loved most, silently vowing to return again soon. As we said our goodbyes, finally heading back to grab that coffee we both so-needed, the Aesop. brand had clearly left an impression on us both, a memorable one at that.

Shop Aesop. by visiting Loading Bay in Hudson street, Cape Town. Or, visit their online store here for more information on their products.

The two products that stood out to me, particularly as someone who is constantly on-the-go: the Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm, and the Reverence Aromatique Hand Wash (with exfoliating properties) – both stocked in hand-bag friendly sizes.
