HOW TO DO MONDAYS | MINIMAL EXPOSURE

T oday started off on a rather slow foot. I had to rip myself away from the comfort of slept-in linen and drag my tired self to the nearest pot of coffee – which, in hindsight, sounds far easier than it actually was. With a full list of things to do and never enough time to finish it all, I teamed these easy-going trousers by local brand Minimal Exposure with a well-loved tunic tucked at the waist – a trick that makes any look more put-together, and with minimal effort. To further dress up the look, I slicked back day 2 hair and slipped on my current favorite court shoes, grabbing my well-loved tote bag before leaving the house.

If you’re an avid reader of the blog, you may be wondering about the shift in what has become my daily uniform. Recently, I’ve found myself drawn to lightweight fabrics and the freedom it gives to juggle all my daily tasks with an improved productivity,  of course coupled with the help of a double espresso scoffed down before 2 pm – synonymous with adulthood. When adorned in garments that aren’t restrictive or overdone, there’s a stronger capability to meet every daily task with ease – and yet never feeling under-dressed despite a lack of tailored shirt and pants.

After announcing my ambassadorship with MINIMAL EXPOSURE a few months ago, it’s been encouraging to try new fabrics I wouldn’t typically (like these Safar Pants) and learning how different constructs enable a different version of me to play, to learn and to improve. Having been chosen as an ambassador for a brand who understand the demands of life and in-turn actively try to curate garments and collections to meet these demands, I’m always one step ahead because my wardrobe can keep up.
